Kisspeptin-10
Also known as: Metastin, KP-10
Kisspeptin-10 is a neuropeptide that regulates reproductive hormone secretion. It stimulates GnRH, leading to LH and FSH release, and may enhance libido and sexual function.

Research Areas
Side Effects
Usually resolves within 1-2 hours. Rotate injection sites to minimize. Apply ice if needed. Ensure proper site rotation and sterile technique.
Occurs shortly after injection due to rapid hormone elevation. Typically self-resolving within 15-30 minutes. Not dangerous but may be noticeable.
May occur in response to rapid hormonal changes. Usually mild and transient. Stay hydrated and consider timing injections to avoid peak activity periods if bothersome.
Rare but documented in clinical studies. Typically mild and self-resolving. Take with food if it occurs.
Secondary to increased testosterone or other sex hormones. Manage with standard skincare; usually mild if it occurs.
Possible due to hormonal fluctuations. Monitor mood and discontinue if significant emotional disturbance occurs.
Reported in some users, possibly related to rapid hormone elevation. Usually resolves quickly. If persistent, discontinue and consult a healthcare provider.
Preventable through strict site rotation. Use a new site for each injection, maintaining at least 1 inch spacing and 7-day intervals between the same site.
Seek immediate medical attention if any signs of anaphylaxis occur. Discontinue use immediately. Have an epinephrine auto-injector available if you have a history of peptide allergies.
Kisspeptin-10 is extremely potent; overdose can cause exaggerated hormone spikes. Start with the lowest dose (50mcg) and titrate slowly. Monitor for signs of excessive stimulation (severe flushing, palpitations, extreme mood changes).

Reconstitution Guide
Do not use saline or bacteriostatic saline — use only bacteriostatic water for reconstitution
Do not shake the vial vigorously; gentle swirling prevents peptide degradation
Discard immediately if the solution appears cloudy, discolored, or contains visible particles
Use within 30 days of reconstitution when stored at 2–8°C
Do not freeze the reconstituted solution; freezing may denature the peptide
Use the PeptideVolt reconstitution calculator for your exact concentration

Kisspeptin-10 is a neuropeptide that acts as a potent stimulator of GnRH (gonadotropin-releasing hormone) secretion from the hypothalamus. This triggers the release of luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) from the anterior pituitary, which regulate reproductive function and sex hormone production. By activating the KISS1R receptor on GnRH neurons, kisspeptin-10 essentially 'unlocks' the reproductive axis, making it a key regulator of puberty, fertility, and sexual function.
Hypothalamic-Pituitary-Gonadal (HPG) Axis
Kisspeptin-10 binds to KISS1R receptors on GnRH neurons in the hypothalamus, stimulating GnRH release. GnRH then acts on the anterior pituitary to release LH and FSH, which stimulate testosterone production in males and estrogen/progesterone in females. This is the primary reproductive pathway.
Sexual Arousal and Libido Signaling
Beyond the HPG axis, kisspeptin neurons in the brain are implicated in sexual motivation and arousal. Activation of these pathways may enhance libido and sexual function through both hormonal and neurological mechanisms.
- Kisspeptin-10 is the shortest active fragment of the kisspeptin family and is highly selective for the KISS1R receptor
- It is one of the most potent natural stimulators of GnRH known, with effects observable at nanomolar concentrations
- Kisspeptin signaling is essential for normal pubertal development and reproductive function; mutations in KISS1 or KISS1R cause hypogonadotropic hypogonadism
- Effects on LH and FSH are typically observed within 15-30 minutes of injection and peak within 30-60 minutes
- Intranasal and subcutaneous routes both show bioactivity, though subcutaneous injection typically produces more robust and sustained hormone elevation
